Principal’s Message to Readers
Dear Prospective Student, Parent, Guardian and Sponsor;
Being in a technical Institute is an exciting and rewarding experience. It lays a strong foundation for ones life and career.
It is also an opportunity to make professional friends, discover your potentials and develop personal confidence, creativity, competence and character.
St. Joseph’s Technical Institute Kisubi is the oldest technical institute in Uganda started in 1911 by the White Fathers. It is a practically oriented institution dedicated to the promotion of skills excellence and applied technology to the community. It seeks to prepare its graduates for entrance into the world as mature self-reliant citizens capable of turning ideas and materials into usable items and services.
The academic programs, religious and social activities at the institute are designed to provide the students with the knowledge, skills and values which are all necessary inputs for the success in a highly competitive and rapidly technologically changing world.
The Institute has highly qualified teachers, excellent classrooms, spacious accommodation, well equipped workshops and an organized compound with facilities for all indoor and outdoor games and other co-curricular activities which enable the students to develop their skills and talents.
There is freedom of worship for all denominations under the religious department headed by the Chaplain.
Currently all the departments have started Evening programs ranging from craft to diploma courses in response to societal needs.
A fully fledged computer laboratory is in place and exposed to all students, thanks to our Norwegian development partners who equipped it with modern computers.
Gender equality is taken care of in that female students have access to all institute programs. With their dormitory under construction, the Institute will recruit more female students and continue to empower women for National development.

It is my pleasure and special privilege to invite you to come and join the happy family of St. Joseph’s Technical Institute Kisubi. It is a community of discovering, learning and living together in a congenial, sociable and intellectually stimulating atmosphere.
In all, this Prospectus describes the range of different fields of study and specialization that the Institute offers, the social climate and the type of people you will meet and how they can all help you to continue to develop your potentials to achieve your carrier objectives and life goals.
