Course objectives:
At the end of the training the trainee will be able to:
- Select tools and materials for garment making
- Draft and make male and female garments
- Draft and make children’s wear
- Market tailoring products and services
- Start and manage own business
Additionally:
- Knit sweaters, Pullovers e.t.c
- Waeves macramé, Macroba bags, Scuffs, Carpets, Doormats, Wall hanging, Table mats.
- Design and make wedding gowns, party wear, kitenge products.
- Exhibit Entrepreneurship and communication skills.
- Exhibit moral behavior that will prevent the spread of HIV/AIDS.
Target group:
- O’level Certificate holders with good grades in English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry.
- UJTC holders with good grades.

Duration:
- The course lasts for two years.
Certification :
Successful candidates are awarded the Tailoring and Garment cutting Craft Course Part 1 Certificate of UNEB.
